I was surprised to learn from here

that it was Toshiba who produces sensors for D5200 and perhaps D3200

That sort of figures out because a recent statement by Nikon [ UK ], stated they use more than one sensor manufacturer and not every 24mp sensor they use was from Sony. Apparently the 3200 and 5200 are different.
