Having posted lots of 17mm pix, a 35mm one to show just how extremely correct the geometry is, and how good the sharpness is, at 35mm:

I know it's a nuisance carrying two cameras but it would be really interesting to have had the A700 with the 18-250 set at 24mm (or a zoom lens that can be set at 24mm and is good at that setting) there for that shot and be able too compare them afterwards, that shot looks awsome for detail.

A 'Health and Beauty Salon'... nice. But just look at the door and windows, they are locked. Details are great. So which is to be "blamed", A900 or Minolta 17-35 ?

BTW, I notice you have the same problem there: people throwing cigarette tips on the floor. (nice as details, but bad for general health).

I just wish to thank you for the hard work you put into testing the eligible lenses for the A900. Looks like Minolta is in the lead with better results and the latest samples at your gallery give away a lot about the quality of the images in relation to the lens used.

The ducks in flight panaroma and 70-300mm G's fisherman with the fishing line visible is interesting to study and enjoy. I hope the final production Sony or Carl-Zeiss lenses do better as they make their true debut into market.

Well I suppose the A900's AF correction will also help a lot... I never felt I could get a picture like that from my 17-35, mostly because the focus would fail in 9 out of 10 cases... Even after BF adjustment, the 7D did not focus correctly and all pictures were kind of unsatisfactory... One more reason why I didn't use it too much.
I didn't send my A700 for BF adjustment yet, since the german cashback programme is unbelievably slow and they didn't refund yet... So I don't have my bill to send along.

This is a total different league and could very well be one argument to start thinking about FF in general or the A900 in particular, which I have carefully avoided so far (except the enthusiasm for a new flagship camera..). Of course my sample could be less good than yours...
