M42 lens adapters

Unread post by [email protected] »

Which Sony Alpha cameras will work with M42 lens adapters ?

I use several lens confiogurations on my KM 5D with M42 adapters that I could not replicate (eg Minolta compact bellows + enlarging lens) with any
production lenses, so would like to be able to continue using these on any upgraded models.

Does anyone have details p0lease ?

You could use a dedicated adapter from M42 to Alpha mount on any Alpha DSLR, with some restrictions of course. You will not have AF, nor auto aperture...

But have a look here http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/forum_posts.asp?TID=29573

and here http://eadpt.cn/eadpen.htm

Thank you for this detail, but this does not sound like any adapter that I have heard of.
What is the make of this dedicated adapter that is referred to, please ?

Thanks
Peter

I have heard that plain adapters from M42 to alpha mount are available in every major camera store in Europe. But that specific one was promoted in Dyxum.com
Don't know more, sorry. Read the thread I linked, maybe you could find more useful info.
