Welcome to my disaster.

Unread post by Dusty »

I was hit Good Friday by the tornado in St. Louis. Praise God, all of us are safe! I'll be posting a series of shots of my house, which lost a roof and then had a large maple tree land on it, as well as a few other shots I took of other's home which were even worse!

The school across the street has it's roof scattered across my yard and several others. My 6 year old thinks that's a good thing, since they closed it until the end of the year. I'll have to break it to her tonight that they've moved the classes to another school.

That's indeed looking bad, Dusty.

Looking forward to hearing that the insurance companies and the state will be takin care of the damages in all aspects.

I'm glad the little ones still find there's something good and humorous in there for them, even if short-lasting until you break the realities of educational continium an how parents and officials see it.

Just what you don't need Dusty - but at least you get summer weather ahead, not winter, which would be even worse. I think you may need to clear some tree space but I guess the shade is needed - at other times. Has the structure of the house stood up OK?

Hope you can get the repairs in place quickly.

Had some help this weekend and things are looking better! I've been so busy trying to make up for missing deadlines at work I haven't been able to post pics, and no internet at home (still). Will try to post some this week.
