As it is the smallest, let it be the first .... county that is >>>>>> Rutland
And this is a view of Normanton Church, well at least the half that survived when the area was flooded to create the largest man made lake in the UK - Rutland Water.
One of the final shots taken with my very excellent 7D, before I foolishly sold it on to make way for the alpha 100.

How big is the lake?
The surrounding should be marvelous.
And congratulations Brian, you're the first on "Welcome to my World" (I remember Elvis' song with the same name. DK made a great choice with the title).

But if I am the first to post a response......what does that say
Anyway, in answer to your question Rutland Water has a shoreline perimeter of nearly 25 miles and an area of 1215 hectares.
This link (sorry if it is lazy but why plagarise when its already on the internet) should give you a reasonable summary of the county and its famous water:

I think we should move over now and let others take part

How could you sell your 7D hiccup!hiccup!hiccup!hiccup!hiccup! You should be taken out at dawn and shot. Never mind your photo is beautiful and worthy of being on first in this section.
