Taking a picture of my wife making a funny face and posting it on line would not be good for my health. So, it was either Magnus or a self portrait.
Mike
It's not easy to get your dog to make a funny face! Actually I was trying to take pictures of Magnus and his sister coming down the path. While looking through the shots I saw this and remembered the challenge.Challenge 8: "Funny Face" - Open to Submissions

Re: Challenge 8: "Funny Face"
Hi Kevin,
Is there an expiry date for this challenge or is it one of those that can go on forever and ever?

I hoped it would go on for a good while. I created it at the peak of everyone's disappointment at the new a230-380 to lighten the mood. Also, the world needs more funny face in it.

In that case, you may have to start thinking twice as hard for yet an other future challenge subject in case the anticipated 500+ series fail to meet Alpha enthusiasts' expectations Kevin! They may need humouring more than they need today...KevinBarrett wrote: I created it at the peak of everyone's disappointment at the new a230-380 to lighten the mood. Hmm, and even harder task it will be if the 700+ series disappoint...
Good luck,
Yildiz

Re: Challenge 8: "Funny Face"
Thanks Javelin. I suppose that since I'm in the challenge, with my own face no less, I can't reliably judge a "winner" per-se. Not that we're looking for winners or losers here...just having a good time!

Umm---I think my photo could go into challenges #9 or #10 just as well ... but I decided to put it here. This horse's name is "Luna." In case you're wondering ... no, apart from a little local sharpening on the horse's teeth it's not manipulated; she's notorious for making faces like that.

135 mm, f/4.5, 1/500 s, ISO 400/27°
This is a serious crop; the full image would show the complete figures from
the horse's feet to the rider's hard hat. The 35-mm-equivalent focal length
for the field of view shown is approx. 750 mm-e.

Hi,
Olaf; your horse would be most welcome in Challenge 10. As the the head cheer-leader of the cheerful farm we're trying to create...
Elisha; the baby has a lovely, teasing curve to its lips. Lovely instance....
