I think this is what passes for "fall colors" up in the rain forests of north-western Washington. See it? Right there in the lower middle, something actually turned yellow!

Here is one from today - but it's not Alpha, it's my attempt to say goodbye to Hasselblad, or to decide to keep Hasselblad. Still unsure. The files are just so lovely to work with. This is ISO 50, which the Alpha 77 will also do, over exposed one stop to get 1/4 at f/22 in sunshine. The reason I used the Hasselblad is partly that f/22 on the huge pixel size does not show diffraction, you get a very sharp image at any aperture.

I had to wait with the camera on a tripod for ten minutes or so to get the right type of leaf movement, without the tree itself moving in the wind. I took two exposures during the time I judged the wind to be right. In processing using ACR, the Luminance of the Blue HSL adjustment was taken down and the saturation of yellow, orange and green taken up. The original file was about one stop overexposed, but with 16-bit capture this does not mean highlights are even close to being clipped.
