Hello everyone, :D

Seeing that we have some very talented photographers that can convert an avarage photo into magnificent piece of photographic art by adopting their own skills of out-of-camera post-processing, we definitely must have some challenges to cover this area of work. :)

Please feel free to start your own challenges with your own rules besides the fact that they should include 2 photos of the same scene, one showing the original shot and the second showing the post-processed version.

Sample challenge subject line:

B&A Challenge 1: "Railroads and Trains" > > > ( Before and After Challenge 1: "Railroads and Trains" )

Enjoy!

ps. Thanks for the inspiration for the idea of the challenges Dewarp-Peter! :)

Forgive me Aster for using this thread, but an example of before and after is perhaps not too out of place.

A rather uninspiring slightly soft shot of a tame firework mid-eruption.

Transformed through post-processing to.. Bushfire! Racing through the forest at night.

(Ok, I have quite an imagination.) But it's hardly a photograph anymore. It is something else, though I don't really know what.

Hi Ewannawe, :D

Yes, that's a good example indeed. It does look like a bush fire in strong wind.

I think it would be a lot of fun to have these challenges. The images turn out to be very inspiring and does have a way of lierating from the limitations of a dull photo while also escaping the boredom!

Thanks and why not start one? :D
