Freaky pigeon! Here, we just slit the bird without plucking it, cut down the breastbone, slip out the two breast fillets, chuck the rest away.
But it does get professionally cooked not incinerated in mummified offering mode...

My wife prepared a Thanksgiving dinner for ten, from scratch, in somebody else's kitchen. It was a feat beyond all reckoning, and all I did was pester her with my camera.

Prawns grilled by Nicole (my better half) in a sort of wok on a BBQ with an open flame. Our treat every few months with friends and a few bottle of wine. Eaten on a bed of rice with lots of garlic and lemon sauce - (Garlic also helps to keeps mosquitoes away as well as reminding you who your true friends are).
