Hi everybody, :D

Welcome to our new challenge: Challenge #39: “Curvelinear; Angular; Linear”

This challenge is about finding a graphical orientation in whatever you choose to photograph, contained in a single frame of your own preferred proportions.

Things that come to mind as examples would be: a shot of a building’s converging walls; a road that curves or curls into the distance or upwards or downwards; railway tracks that follow a graphical form; portions of high-rises; ...and any other graphical aspect to any subject, even human beings or animals but it’s got to be pretty descriptive of the title.

Colours can be used as distinctive design features and monochrome can be used to bring forth the graphical element to emphasize its existence.

Specifications:
* The challenge ends on 02 May 2011.
* The dimensions and size of the photo files should not exceed 1024*1024 pixels and 250 Kb.
* You may enter with as many photos as you like.
* Creativity would be welcome.

Good luck and enjoy!

Yildiz

is that a question related to my pic David, if so the answer is no, it's one of your old stomping grounds, Fuerteventura

I have never seen that in Fuerteventura - guess one of the many places we did not get to (every intention of going back). Even so, it seems familiar from somewhere. But what I was remembering in Barcelona was the row of much larger posts near the aquarium and IMAX:

Nice architectural shots from David and Gio.

Here is something from nature, which I think is within the brief.

Good one for a curvelinear sample, Birma.

Nice to have a sweetly sand-scented piece from Skye. :D

(on this one I always like the "Stop" sign (Arret in french) at the end, like if this is the sign that command the lamp to stop the repetition)

Hi John, :)

Very fitting with the title indeed...

Hi Frank, :)

Good eye catching the angles and lines in the urban outdoor furnitures and utilities...

We are enjoying a semi-abstract but very illustrative thread here! :D

I, yet have to go some districts to get such good frames myself...: ) Couldn't get the free time needed for the time being...

Thanks everyone.

...or, if the last one isn't the most famous Australian structure, then this one is!
