David:
Thanks for the intro on this camera.
I have other cameras...a couple used exclusively for street shooting.
But I want a small travel camera for landscape shooting only...Tetons and Yellowstone this summer...
It seems to me that the NEX5 might be perfect with the 16mm lens...small, lightweight, wide enough lens....
and the limitations of the camera less significant for this purpose.
Your thoughts?
Thanks.
Mark

Re: NEX-5 for landscape shooting?
Not bad, it has a grid screen display option and the sweep panorama mode is impressive (23 megapixels maximum) when you get it right - but I got it wrong nearly every try, I need to practice swivelling from the waist and not moving my torso/arm/head relationship at ALL during the panning.
The 16mm has excellent geometry and contrast, but does need to be stopped down to f/8 to get sharp corners. At f/2.8 they are very soft indeed.
