Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
If I had an NEX camera, you can bet I'd be looking for some image samples from this lens.

Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
This is just an M42 fit Zenit 50mm fitted to a tilt adaptor exactly like the Kipon, giving 8 degrees of tilt from a position behind the rear node. Why buy this even though $99 is a very fair price? Unless the adaptor is removable, it is much better to buy the Kipon tilt adaptor.
With mine, I use a 50mm f/4 SMC Macro Takumar, 50mm f/1.4 Super Takumar, 24mm Sigma f/2.8 Filtermatic, 20mm CZ Flektogon f/4.

Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
Why? because, including the 50mm lens (ok, a Zenit...) is less expensive than the Kipon itself on eBay... The lens is removable, so I can use the adapter for other M42 lenses -if i decide to invest on one of those.David Kilpatrick wrote:This is just an M42 fit Zenit 50mm fitted to a tilt adaptor exactly like the Kipon, giving 8 degrees of tilt from a position behind the rear node. Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
Some "classic" samples -The Zenit is not a gem, bokeh is not the nicer I've seen, but it is what I have now.

Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
I was assuming they had made a single unit and not just added an M42 tilt adaptor to the lens via the M42 thread. If that is the case, why don't they say the rear unit of the lens can be used with any other M42 lens as well?

Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
I went with the kipon tilt adaptor (M42 fit) but really haven't used it much - I picked up a very cheap pentacon 29mm(yes 29 for some reason) lens to try it out.

Re: 50 mm Tilt lens
No idea. I discovered it when you mention it -it already happened to me with a fisheye lens i got on eBay, on MD mount. it actually was a T-mount lens. I changed the adapter and used it on A-mount.David Kilpatrick wrote:I was assuming they had made a single unit and not just added an M42 tilt adaptor to the lens via the M42 thread. BTW, the seller is "Peleng LLC", in the USA. I think if they have M42 lenses for sale, they'll change their marketing approach
