I think I'll go the other way. I'll take an old 4x5 view camera body and cut out the lens board and attach it to the lens so that when I put my DSLR inside the bellows will extend as I focus or zoom. Then I'll just use the LiveView mode and, with the darkcloth on the back, no one will know it's not an old camera taking all the photos.
That way I can look retro while being high-tech!
I can even pretend to change plates between shots!

An a700, an a550 and couple of a580s, plus even more lenses (Zeiss included!).
