List of current Sigma lenses with stabilisation for A-mount

Unread post by David Kilpatrick »

I intend to publish something about this in due course, but here, for your information, is list of all current Sigma lenses which include OS when sold in Alpha mount - and are therefore very suitable for use on E-mount adaptors and non-sensor stabilised bodies.

AF 105mm F2.8 MACRO EX DG OS HSM
AF 150/2.8 APO MACRO EX DG OS HSM
AF 18-200/3.5-6.3 DC OS Mk II
AF 18-200/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM | C
AF 50-500 / 4.5-6,3 APO DG OS HSM
AF 70-200 / 2,8 APO EX DG OS HSM
AF 120-300/2.8 DG OS HSM | S
AF 150-500/5.0-6.3 APO DG OS HSM

My thanks to Paul Reynolds of Sigma UK for checking the stock and official information, and confirming this list (as most dealers and on-line offers tend to get this wrong). There are of course historic Sigma lenses with OS such as the amazing 72mm front thread original 18-250mm, which we still use and has been through one refurbishment cycle at Sigma UK to replace the rubber grips and tighten the zoom action.

The Sigma 120-300 zoom is a lens that is not showing up on any dealers lists in A mount. Is this currently available or is it a case of not being officially discontinued ?

I couldn't justify the cost of buying this lens but was asking as even where Sigma does produce a lens in A mount many dealers not only don't stock them, but don't seem to know they exist.

Bookmarked! That is a very useful list to have. Thanks DK. As you say, impossible to get this info anywhere else :)

The lenses marked S and C are the new reprogrammable models build to new standards - the 120-300mm ay be be around yet. We have one in Nikon mount and print a report on it in the July/Aug f2 magazine.

BTW, I bought myself a 35/1.4 DG A (listening to DK)
I am quite pleased with it.
I have to stress that formerly I was against purchasing any Sigma lens, after my experience with the 50/2.8 EX DG...
And now...
A99 + a7rII + Sony, Zeiss, Minolta, Rokinon and M42 lenses
