Sony 400mm and 600mm SSM Lens

Does anyone have a clue when Sony plans to release the telephoto 400mm and 600mm lens with SSM?

Not a bad little question actually......In view of the economic climate, introducing expensive lenses will probably take some "above the call of duty" commitment by Sony, but hey if they have the "always look on the bright side of life" approach anything is possible of course.
Even if Sony aren't all that interested in the sideline sports action photography segment, there is still the wildlife photographers who would definitely want those lenses.

ps. While they are there (as others have mentioned) they could think about the 35 f2, (the APS-C format needs a good affordable 1X prime) and it also would be handy for FF, also a nice 24 f2 or f2.8 wouldn't go astray either.

I hope Sony will line up to play with the boys within the next year. I know Sony is late in the game but has made extra ordinary progress in the field of DSLR’s. Primarily from the acquisition of some of Minolta and Konica. With that said, I can think of no other with the capacity to drive technology into the future.

I can simply remember a time when “others” laughed at Sony when the ventured into Video Cam Recorders. Now where does Sony stand in the world of HD Video? LOL

I continue to hearing the voice from Poltergeist………….. “Carol Ann, do not go into the light” of Canon and Nikor.” I really want to upgrade my 400 & 600 to SSM like the Minolta 300/Sony 300 sooner than later.

As I am quite aware these lenses are simply more than expensive for a hobbyist. If you were a farmer with several thousands of acres of corn to harvest, would you not have a half a million dollars Combine?

PS: About the f/2.0 Lenses. I would love to see Sony bring back the Minolta designs. Yee Haw, as we say in the Southern States of the US. LOL
