Your California flowers are bountiful with bright colours. Vivid purples, pinks and oranges are catching the eye immediately.

ps. Only because you mentioned in your post, the purple one is Fairytale Calla Lily, not a tulip and the second is Cluster Rosemary and its flowers are really nice and the third is a Hibiscus blossom which is eye catching. You have great specimens in your backyard!

Great set. What I love is the vibrancy in the images. The Asian Lily variety we get have a darker stamen(?) or pistils (?). Is it the lighting or the color is indeed lighter in your flowers?

Thank you, Sury; Your yellow lily, red rose and purple tulip are lovely. The petal layers of the rose and the details of the tulip are distinctive.
That's what we do best in this forum: make sure the spouses of our members are always much impressed! We can't let you fail...

As for the colour of the stamens, it's golden brown as you may observe from the following photos. Asian Lily comes in various shades and it's normal that you have a yellow petaled one with auburn/dark brown stamens. I have a similar specimen with dark brown stamen that hasn't bloomed yet. Still in progress..

Wonderful. I love the golden yellow and golden brown combination. There is something aesthetically pleasing about it.
Or it is likely the photographer's perspective that may have something to do with it.

Thank you, Sury and JBTaylor. Sury, I think the subject is a good incentive to create the perspective; the subject shows the way to be photographed, almost. I just follow the guidelines the subject offers or displays.


JBTaylor, this pearl white variety of lilies are exceptionally delicate and pure. Your compositions show off the best of their fragile glory, solitarily or in a cluster.
The first is a legend! And the others are complimentarily great the red being the surprise. Your garden is just enchanting! Complements.

Looks really lovely. I see what you mean. I like both all the same. You are an artist.
The second is a wonderful composition of a very prolific lily cluster. There's something neat about pearly white lilies against dark and lush green foliage. And the little winged bonus guys in the third photo are making an already good shot even more worthy and interesting.
