Congrats.

I have been eyeing this lens for the longest time, but it feels like too much money for an newbie like me. Thanks for the info Sonolta, I'll remember to keep an eye out for the Minolta.

He would have to be a very rich santa :wink: , the lens costs about $2000US in Sweden. I was thinking of importing (it would save me about $650US) but I would run the risk of having to pay taxes if the customs snap it up.

By the way, you have very nice photographs in your site, those landscapes and nature shots, not the gadget things :oops: .
And I agree with you that the 16-105 is a great all-around lens. :D
