Last year, in November, my wife and I went to Joshua tree National Park, in California.
It is one of the known dark sky regions but it was too late for Milky Way in northern hemisphere.

The famous Skull Rock.
Looking at the Coachella Valley, known for its annual music festival. The nearby big town is Palm Springs.
I have driven through Joshua Tree National Park a couple of times, but both times I was on my way somewhere so did not have a chance to stop, look around, and take photos.
By the way, how were you able to upload those photos? The attachments functionality on this site seems to be broken for me. When I click on Add files nothing happens.
Edit: I was using Safari, but I just tried it in Opera and it works.
This forum is the strangest one I have ever seen on the internet. It is normal for there to be more views than posts on all forums, but this forum takes the cake. It is common for threads to have thousands of views and zero posts or just one post. I wish I could see the stats for this forum for one month. How many views per month and how many posts per month. Basically, there are thousands, maybe tens of thousands of people viewing stuff on this forum and yet days or weeks go between even one post. Very odd.
Henry,
It has been my experience that there are large numbers of views for my posts and rarely any replies.
Even the replies are from the usual culprits, more often than not. Initially I thought people didn't like
my photos and therefore did not think worth their time to reply (even if it is criticism). Now, I have come
to believe that they are reluctant to post replies (may be shy). This is easier from me to swallow.
