Unread post by snoylybum »

Hi - I have a Sony Alpha 350 and need to take some black and white images - could someone please tell me how to set up the camera for that.

Turn the camera on, hit the menu button, go down to "Creative Style", select it by hitting the central button in the joystick and go all the way down to B&W, selecting it the same way. When you shoot them, the JPEGs you get will be in B&W, as will be the JPEG embedded in the RAW file. I thought the RAW was also in B&W until David set me straight.

You can also shoot RAW or RAW+JPEG and convert it to B&W later. Of course, as long as you have the RAW, you can process one you shot in B&W as color, too.

Hope this helps.
