Debasing A900

I may be accused of (rightfully so) debasing as fine a machine as A900 by purists and I stand guilty. Here is an example of
A900+Tamron1.4converter+MD to MA glass adapter + MD extension tubes + Kiron 80-200+HVL58 hand held shot.
I was experimenting the Image quality loss due to 1.4+MD/MA adapter but Kiron did a decent job. I did experiment with
same combo on A700 too. Any comments or critique is always appreciated. A900 will go to camera shop for sensor cleaning this week.

Impressive, but you have stopped down so far that every bit of pollen on your sensor is visible

Thank you. As for sensor, I am really surprised how much "pollen" it had gathered. The lenses were never changed in the open air.
There was one stubborn one a third from left on top edge that I couldn't blow away. Oh, well, time for some professional cleaning.

Is a prime lens better choice over a zoom when using extension tubes or vice-versa? Should it matter? I am finding zoom to be a tad bit
more convenient to compose.

Zooms can be OK but of course they go out of focus when you zoom!

But of course. I am finding Zoom gives me another degree of freedom for composition
compared to a prime. Depending on the Prime's focal length (I tried, M42/MD55, M42/MD135, M42 300), I am stuck to a "fixed" distance from the object. With zoom, I can get closer as I go wide and get farther as i go tele thus excluding and including the surroundings as I wish.

With the two layers of additional glass (teleconverter + MD/MA converter), Kiron did a very good job,
makes me wonder how well it did on original MD mount cameras. BTW, I did experiment with the same set up
on A700 with equally acceptable results.
