Funny you should mention film, that was my first thought.
Nice country but I really do prefer a few trees.

Moses certainly had a dramatic valley!

A very interesting landscape; warm shades of brown gradually being replaced by cooling colours of bluish purples and the eccentric rock formations being enhanced by this.

My first thought the colours are a bit off Anyway, impressive landscape!!

Well, the saturation does appear to have tweaked the sky into an unnaturally jewel-like blue, but the rest of the image looks like something my dad shot many years ago on his Ricoh.

Well, the saturation does appear to have tweaked the sky into an unnaturally jewel-like blue, but the rest of the image looks like something my dad shot many years ago on his Ricoh.

No saturation tweaks, just curves (a left-shift in the white point to the edge of the histogram) and 15% lifting of shadows in color curves - so it has indeed been brightened a little. The sky was a beautiful blue although I agree that the far-ground is more purple than I recalled. It's hard to take anything other than a snapshot from a (comfort break) promontory view point but my old Ricoh didn't have the resolving power of the A700
