First we took a tour of the disused mineral mine at Nenthead (lead, silver, zinc and numerous other minerals had been mined here over a period of several hundred years and there is a good network of tunnels to walk. This is a waterfall at the exit - the broken pipe in the pool was once used to pass fresh air from one mine hill to another.
Next a much photographed boathouse at the head of Ullswater

Finally for this set, Aira force, a national trust property along the north shore of Ullswater

I wanted to get some high up views looking down the valleys, but due to low cloud, visibility up high was very poor
