Thanks to the leaflet enclosed with the A380, which flags up new items, I have been able to identify these and find pix from the Sony EU website.

Oh yeah the white bag is rather nice I have to say

Not sure I get the idea of the lcd cover, whilst it can help in strong light, isn't it easier to just make an LCD that is better in sunlight??

On the eyepiece mag, why didn't sony just increase the VF mag on the LV models? Or am I just being picky again :?

Hard leater case ? :-)

Unread post by InTheSky »

Do you know if there is any rumours about a hard leather case like the old one found for Minolta's body ? (one for small prime and one for large prime).

I'm missing this , or probably there is equivalent OEM I doesn't know.

There are soft leather cases, but no hard leather.

But the soft one is not designed to stay on the camera ? Like one part attached on the bottom of the camera, and the front part goes down when it is time to take picture ?

This would be a serious reason for my wife to get an A700 :D When we bought a pocket camera for her earlier this year, the colour of the body and a nice pouch was most important. One has to know his priorities!

The soft cases are just a pouch, the camera must be removed to be used. Not an 'ever ready case' sort of design.

Sony had sent out a survey that had questions about how a hardcase should be made. one of the questions had a hard leather body component and ones that would fit each lens as mates.. Don;t know if it'll ever be realy but it shows they thought of it at one point.

You almost make my day with this new :-) , I know it is probably not for today, but this means somebody out there are continuing to see the advantage of this kind of case.
