How does he do it???

Unread post by bonneville »

Photoworld. DK, how does he do it??? It is an outstanding magazine in quality and content (irrespective that I contributed an article this edition).

I went to SLR camera repairs in Milton Keynes today with my poorly Minolta 50mm f1.7 and met Dave and had a good old chat. Introduced him to Photoclubalpha forum and saw on his desk the latest edition of Photoworld. Told me it had arrived today and he spontaneously said what an excellent publication it is (before I mentioned that I contributed an article this edition :) ). His workshop is an Alladin's Cave of Minolta bits which he uses to repair anything KM. But he has not yet discovered Sony cameras oddly.

Anyway, thank you for edition 2008 #3. It is superb. (Oh, and did I mention that I had contributed an article?)

And your article was, I think, free of the mass of typos which flooded my SAL 70-300mm SSM article - I had a very limited space (three working days) to assemble this magazine, normally I get about five days. Of course the content and ideas are gathered slowly over the course of a quarter, but a lot of the keyboarding is 'real time' on to the page. I truly screwed up with spellcheck and proof reading on the SSM tele article!

I'm expecting my copy any moment now with enthusiasm and impatience! :)
I just checked with the postman who delivers mail to my location but nothing for me for now. It's nice to learn some of the features and who the actual contributors are ahead of reading through the issue. Looking forward to the experience.

Thanks David and everyone involved... :)

Hello again,

This post is to finally annoounce that I have just received my first copy of Photoworld two minutes ago. I browsed so very briefly only to catch glimpses of young elephants, speeeding motorbikes and some interesting cruise trip as well as a magneficent lens review... I have a worthwhile read before me. :D

One thing made me smile though as my father pointed me in the address section; I am a "Miss" and not a "Mr". :)

Thank you David and the invisible team behind the scenes.

Oh, no need to apolegize really! I could of let you know while the subscription was still in progress but I guess I felt it not to be so important at a forum where the common interest were camera technologies and photographic art.... :D

By the way, I already read the magazine's all features in a speedy way, and am impressed about all the things A100 and A700 can do when in the right hands at the right moments. Lovely...

Thanks
Yildiz
