I thought I'd share a few images I'm working on at present
As the cold is staying I went back to re-work a couple of shots
I also shot the beach huts I previously posted in the summer. This time from the land side - I used AWB and got this blue cast as it wasn't quite dawn - I really like it as it reminds me of the cold and how the scene felt to me - I have also developed it with the cast removed and don't like that image as much. Hope you like the scene
Paul, I can just imagine spending a cosy night in a beach hut right now and taking a refreshing dip in the sea at dawn. I think the beach huts would burn well enough to restore a warm glow afterwards
Amazing those lights on the huts. That's just so odd. Who is using them now?
Eskimos David, they sublet them to eskimos in the winter...
Greg
ps. That's a great image the second one Murph, I'd like to see it with mayhap a teensy bit less brightening/lightening, just to see if it makes it look even more pre-dawnish...
Well for me the composition in 2 is close to perfect, the deserted picnic benches in the foreground, the Eskimos tucked away in their huts up on the rise, the breaking dawn in the background, all set in the pre-dawn twilight, up there with the best of Murph I think.
Greg
The huts are available for hire all year round, although they don't appear to being used much at present - and they have multiple restrictions on their use (can't be used between 11pm and 7am, no dogs in the huts - so rules them out for my photographic use)
There is a small wind turbine nearby that may power the lights, these may help act a security features.
Composition is subjective on all images, and I very deliberately chose the composition of the pictures, but I welcome any suggestions as to what would make the pictures work for others as it always helps to see how others view your work.
Pual where are these beach huts exactly? I feel inspired to go and shoot them myself.

Was up that way today and spotted them, high tide & fresh snow. Not a patch on yours though.
