Hi Yildiz - I like the way that the light almost seems to be bursting out of the flowers in the first shot - a very intense red.

Ironically I seem to be suffering from Hayfever this year and so I haven't felt like crawling amongst the blooms today.

Very vibrant wild Roses Yildiz and nice focus depth...couldn't see hardly any nice soft parts for Yildiz though

Yildiz thought that it wouldn't be fair to the blossom bunch to isolate them for the sake of just one blossom in focus... They seemed like all-for-one and one-for-all! : ))

Hi Dusty,

The first is the Hibiscus plant and flower that can grow to an avarage-sized tree.

Nice to see some shots from your wife and yourself. Your wife used the camera wisely with her choices of Out-of-Focus areas.

Nice series Dusty - it is always interesting to see what is growing around the place for other people, especially across the continents. I see you've got some Honeysuckle - ours smells great, but I can never make an interesting picture out of it

Hayfever much better today and there was some lovely evening light cascading across the garden so I grabbed a few shots before dinner. All with A700, Min 50/1.7 + CL49-200 cul.

The next was in a shady part of the garden, and so I had to ramp up the ISO as I didn't have time for the tripod.

I agree a bit more dof would be better in #3 - I was struggling a bit. I have also noticed that the cornflowers are in pots so i should be able to arrange something better later on today - this time with the tripod.

Hi Birma,

The light before dinner is very prolific. I love the second shot. It's mysterious yet luminescent. Good going with the backlighting.

The other two are nice as well, so don't think they are less please. : )

Those are very encouraging phrases from two of the best-in-crowd... I have to admit that the CZ is responsible for most of that beauty by quickly registering the focus points and shooting.
