Ha! I thought it looked familiar, just a different colour variety thats all, I seem to remember red on the flower stems and bright cerise/pink on the flower that was opened, they all open eventually, those little square ones are buds I'm fairly sure. And yeah it can grow out of control here, it's one that needs too be watched.

Hi Yildiz - all lovely, but I especially like #1 and #2. In #1 I am reminded of fireworks shooting upward and exploding . I like the contrast with the background in #2.

I like the first as well. I shot raw but almost did no post-processing. This is almost like an in-camera-jpg.

I'll share a couple of Hyrangea close-up textures this time. For some aesthetical and design reasons I love how the tiny flowers are clustering into a randomly-formed texture.

Very artsy 1 and 3 Yildiz, I think you've got something there. I sortof like no. 2 as well for it's more conventional look, (I know, I'm old fashioned).
I like the yellow Hibiscus John, I don't think I've seen a yellow around here, very nice.

Nice Hibiscus John. Glad to hear the Texas Alpha group have been out and about .

The Hydrangea close ups are great Yildiz. There is probably a technical term for flowers made up of multiple blooms like this, but they do make great patterns - I like #2 as well - the stamens etc. look like jewels set on some expensive fabric. I always thought that hydrangea where pink on acid soil and blue on alkaline, but you seem to have both. Perhaps I am confusing this with a different plant.

Aster, I've always been a sucker for hydrangeas, but if I wasn't already, I would be now. These shots are brilliant.

Nothing to brag about here, I was just greeting an arriving relative when I spotted the first Morning Glory of the year. I leaned over shot this with one hand while the baby was trying to crawl up me. I was holding her in the other and when I bent down she thought I was dropping her!

I'm trying to imagine what you have to go through to take a single shot of a flower when your baby or kids are around. : ) Requires some planning prior to powering up the camera!
