I have desaturated all but the dress color in lightroom, and voila:-)

And the last one, with the last new niece (only 6 months):



All done with the old 200mm HS 2.8 .

Hi Frank - a really nice series of pictures - I think the desaturated effects wroks best in #1, with just the dresses in colour. I am sure that #3 is a picture that your family will keep for a long time .

Pretty romantic-style shots for very pretty little girls... They should adore their uncle Frank for these photos and make a cup cake for him topped with icecream in return! Something sweet in exchange for a sweet effort.

The girls are all very cute, and also much better in color.

The best use of the "desaturated except for one item" technique I ever saw was in Schindler's List, where he saw the young girl at the Warsaw Ghetto wearing the red coat, and later saw her body in the mass grave.
