Re: Weather Today- in Your Vicinity
Hi Bruce - I like the pattern of the clouds in the sky and the voley ball players dynamic pose. It is 'nice' to see it is not always perfect blue sky and brilliant sunshine in WA

Sorry Greg, no womens competition on that weekend. I suppose I could use the liquify filter in Photoshop and "make" some for you though that might be a little scary

Re: Weather Today- in Your Vicinity
Yo all will never guess what that whacky guy DA has gone and done, the item below turned up in the post today, so I thought the least I could do is post a photo of it.
I guess I should borrow a Canon body off someone and see how it performs, thing is it's an EF lens so I'll probably have too find someone with a 1D or 5D at guess, I'm not sure about Canon lenses and whether an EF 24-105 f4L IS USM fits onto an APS-C body or not....
Greg
Townsville weather: 21.8 | 28.1C, H60%, 11 | 28km/h, NE|ENE, Fine.

Your personal 'weather' must be purrfect right now, Greg!
Good luck finding the suitable Canon body for your new lens... : ) And when you do, you know where to share the outcomes.

Sorry Yildiz I couldn't resist, it's a fake lens, looks real though doesn't it, it's actually a cup, you unscrew the hood/cap and it's hollow inside. It'll be a blast when I pour a cup of coffee on the next camping trip ha ha the others won't know what's happening...

A hearty laugh now and again does wonders for one's heart ans spirit....: ))
But just so you are foretold, my dear friend, next time you come around introducing your latest one-of-a-kind cutting-edge-technology lens or camera...or flash for that matter, you'll be exchanging rather susupicious glances with us all !! We'll be eyeing you with eyebrows raised...
; ) So, your next joke better be ..hmm, a successor superceding this one.

Good one DA and Greg
It had me fooled as well until I read down through the thread. It must all be due to the lucky Austrailian magpies!
So the obvious questions are "why don't they make a cup with a Sony A mount?", and then "why is the A mount version cup the same price when it has no vibration reduction?"

Re: Weather Today- in Your Vicinity
Oooo Yildiz....that will hurt, please don't make it Heroes, I thought that was one of the stupidest shows ever, but now I've grown too kinda like it. But if you do I've always got Bones and Castle.
Greg
ps. Yeah Birma that could be it, the Magpie god is benevolent here after all. I wondered the same thing, but I suppose they picked a lens that was closest too the dimension of a nice sized mug...maybe. I'm just trying to think if there is one in the A-mount...hmmm possibly the CZ135 might do it, but it doesn't have all that pretty printing all over it, and Zeiss would most likely want a piece of the action if it's got their name on it....

Re: Weather Today- in Your Vicinity
tsawwassen. 19ºc overcast.
Some great photos posted in my brief absence.
Really like the home coming window shots Aster,
some terrific views there. Good to see you safely
ensconced back home after that great trip.
Good shots from your windows Greg. Looks like every
other vehicle is a Toyota truck in Townsville ;^)
Great volleyball photo Bruce, talk about timing.
How cool is that! Doc's new avatar. ;^)
I was ordering a few camera mugs for some
photo friends for Christmas, when a magpie
jumped on my shoulder and blurted out "don't
forget Greg" :^) anyway while I was ordering
i put him down for one.
Been quite busy lately, but took these today.
My neighbour Tom & his wife went back to their
villa in Split for 5 week. So I have an extra dog Abby
plus all Toms produce, tomatoes, green beans, & lettuce
to mention just a few. to cope I have my American Harvester
dehydrating what I can't eat right now.
Going 24/7

These are some of my tomatoes, they should be ripe before the first frost I hope.

Nice shot DA.
Re: Weather Today- in Your Vicinity
Voila! Tomatoes...! From all over the World...and now Canadian produce on display...
We're smoothly moving around ... next maybe Vietnamese tomatoes if Bakubo finds any tomato plant during his walks around...
Weather in Istanbul:
26° C | 15° C
Clear. High: 26 °C . Wind North 14 km/h .
Welcome back, David Antony! : ))
We missed your photos. And thanks for the kind words...
Now you have quite a vegetable and pet kingdom to reign requiring more responsibility and exercise for the little guys. : )
Lovely to see the healthy bunch of tomatoes enjoying their time to ripeness and looks like your dehydrator will need to work over time! : )
Next jars of tomato sauce and jam then ? Winter essentials...
