I've been to one of these shindigs (below) taking a few happy snaps, (I wasn't the photographer, I was trying to not get in the way). My nephew got married.

Drying vegetables sounds very interesting DA - it is not a process I have seen people do at home here - it looks like you have a nifty gadget?

Thanks Yildiz, DA and Birma, (fancy that, the wedding anniversary will be on the same day..I think, 17-09 it was here).
They wanted too hold the ceremony in a rural setting as they both live in a rural type area, these moo moo's were actually in the next fenced off area next to the front lawn/garden of the homestead that the owners kindly gave permission to hold the wedding at/in, and that's just how the happy couple wanted it.

pps. Thanks for the compliment with the lenscup photo, but DA I ended up cheating, I couldn't get in complete control of the A700 and the two Metz's (it doesn't behave exactly the same as the A100 and KM5D and I was too tired too think straight at the time), so I just cut it out and pasted it on a white background as a quick solution, for the moment. And yes you are correct about wedding photography, that's the way to do it, doing it for real is just too stressful for me. (Oh, I forgot about you're statement on the prevalence of Toyota utes etc. yes Toyota has by far the largest market share in Oz last I heard)

Thanks for the compliment on the avatar! : )

Is it a coincidence or don't these moo-moos look like they were dressed for the wedding ceremony as bridesmaids to you too ?! All wearing white, all in their best behaviour, nicely lining the fence, nodding and smiling to the wedding attenders... : )

(with no offense intended to the quality of the couple, I'd like to assure you...mere observation... : ) )

Greg, you have a handsome nephew that makes a handsome groom. Really. I think all grooms should hear this phrase at least ten times from each guest when saying bye bye to bacheleorhood during the ceremony to keep the nerves and second thoughts away from the ceremony area... : )

And the bride is very beautiful of course in her lovely stylish dress. : )) Any bride appreciating a rural setting for her wedding scene is a worthy lady to my way of thinking...I like her already! From a couple of thousand kilometers away, that is.... : )

Weather in Istanbul appears to be fine. A bright sun just lighted my curtains and the birds are already visiting my window. Wind is mild and cool. It'll be a good day for the skies.. : )

Thanks Yildiz, yep my photos don't really do them justice, they both looked really outstanding, and I do think he's devoted too her but might have been a bit tense on the big day.
Yep those moo moo's were funny, they would trot around in a big goup in that paddock jostling one another and then run back and line up at the fence looking at the people walking past to the wedding and then take off and do it all again...they must have picked up on the excitement in the air.

Getting a bit twitchy here - too busy to take more than about three photos all week so forgive me if I post one from sunrise on one of the days last weekend. The weather is shaping up here at last
