What about the new (or old?) pic of yours? Is this traditional Armenian clothing? Otherwise I'd say it looks like Palestinean But then my knowldge about Armenian and middle east culture and dress code is rather limited

Definitely not Armenian, rather Arabic as Caliphs (Khalif) in the past.

While we're at it---what is a Heirophant supposed to be? I never heard this word before, and my English-German dictionary also doesn't know this word ...

I've asked this before and didn't get any good answer. I guess we're just stuck being heirophants Or is it hierophant??

Heirophant is a rather obscure word from the Tarot, from various 1980s computer games - according to Wiki:

"The role of the hierophant in religion is to bring the congregants into the presence of that which is deemed holy. The word comes from Ancient Greece, ..."

but Wiki spells it ie not ei though it is pronounced it like 'hire' not 'hair' or 'here'. Which in English, like German, normally means ei not ie (though we are much less consistent than German and Scots is even worse - the Scots verb for to enquire or ask, to speir, is pronounced like spear).

I can not find it in any regular dictionary (I can no longer read my huge Oxford with the magnifier and small print) and both spellings are in widespread use. My spelling probably comes from some Dungeons and Dragons type of game twenty years ago, nothing very academic!
