This post is directed to those who print photos at home, on inkjet printers...
I recently got a Canon Pixma iP4500 as a birthday gift, with some HP brand photo paper accompanying.
I also had the test package of KM photo paper that was included in the D7D box (don't know if all markets got this).
My initial tests show that the KM paper prints much cleaner than the HP variant that suffer from minor specks showing in some areas.
Although I didn't print the same photo twice (I'm cheap), so this test doesn't really qualify as scientific I guess
Anyways, I don't know if KM photo paper is available anymore so it would be nice to know what kind of paper you use for printing photos at home?
Thanks in advance!
BR,
Sebastian

Re: What photo paper do you use?
Konica-Minolta paper isn't available anymore, except maybe the occasional new-old stock leftover. HP-branded inkjet photo paper is good quality, generally. However you must carefully distinguish between "HP Advanced" and "HP Premium" papers---one kind is for dye inks, the other is for pigment inks; I just cannot memorize which is which. If you get it the wrong way around then you'll get poor results. And the fact that a packet came with your printer doesn't necessarily mean it's the right kind.
Personally, I'm using Epson and Harman papers with my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer which uses pigment inks.

Thanks Olaf!

Certainly not since it was my father in law who bought the paper to accompany the printer01af wrote:And the fact that a packet came with your printer doesn't necessarily mean it's the right kind.
