Yes, the 3600HS should be OK, but the A55 is a bit touchy with flash and you should not assume that any third-party flash like Metz, Sunpak or Sigma will work. Minolta 3600HS(D), 5600HS(D) and 2500D should be OK.

Will the 2500 do wireless? I didn't think so. I know it will work in all other aspects TTD/ADI etc. But Wireless?

Not wireless - though I'm not sure. The 2500 sold out before I could get one. The problem with the A55/33 is that it will not sync at all - even directly connected - with some third party flash like the Delta or Marumi ringflash even though it seems to work fine with really old Minolta guns.

As far as I know the A33-A55-A580 don't even work properly with existing flashes like the 3600HS(D), the 5600HS(D) (F56), F58, I'm not sure about the F42 haven't heard on that score.

The A55, 33, 560 and 580 all work perfectly normally with KM/Sony wireless flash. Only the HVL-F42AM and HVL-F58AM are mentioned in the manuals because these are the only current wireless Sony flashguns, and they have stopped mentioning anything to do with Minolta or KM legacy equipment, except to state that the lens mount is compatible.

Well I guess that's fine if you only ever want to use them in WL mode, but not so good if you want to do candids and spur of the moment stuff, freeze action at the precise split second etc. in non WL mode on the move, in which case those cameras don't work with current flashes as they should.
