Thanks, Birma. : )

The way you nicely put it, it most certainly was the B+B+B+B Day in Istanbul. :D
Greg Beetham wrote:Good ones Yildiz, all those Coots are looking for small fish maybe? I guess there must be something there at least to attract them. It still looks chilly to me with those coats and long pants everywhere.

Hi Greg,

Thank you. The coots were indeed catching and eating very small fish. I could see the fish they were after swimming very close to the surface of the water and one jerky move of the head towards the water and I could see the smallfish hanging from its bills.

The weather indeed is chilly. The Sun shining so brightly shouldn't fool anyone because the chilling wind could enter from the openings of the sleeves and make one very aware of the season we are in. It just looks 'springy'. : ))

Hi JBTaylor,

: ) Thanks. It's just that it would be good to see snow around during the winter. It's good for agriculture as well...

Nice shots Yildiz. The blue of the sea is beautiful.
We too have kind of sunny days but somehow with a dense haze (not fog).

I think I will have to send my Doves to weightwatchers. :D
Greg

ps. I liked the suspicious look in the moo moo's eyes John, and I don't think I want to get involved with an ice storm whatever that is JBT.

Townsville weather: 24.3|29.1°C, H73%, 2|22km/h WSW|ENE overcast and rain on and off.

Actually branches can snap off from too much rain, they get too heavy.

Weather in Istanbul:
11° C | 4° C
Now: 8 °C
Clear
Windchill: 7 °C
Humidity: 76%
Dew Point: 4 °C
Wind: 7 km/h / 2.1 m/s from the WSW
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you, Dr. Harout and David Antony. :)

That's a very large branch, Greg. It is a sad sight. Saturated with water and beaten down by rain, the tree becomes weak at the forks, I guess. The flood seems to have ceased though which is good.

A sunny but misty day here in Istanbul. I got a couple of shots when I was on the Galata Bridge, of the men who aligned the bridge rails to fish. Some were really lucky! :)

Here are a few shots from those moment.

St. Louis - 8 inches of snow overnight, with another 2 since then. This is my neighbor's house as I left for work this morning.

Yildiz if those photos were in a travel brochure, tourism would be up even more in Istanbul . You really captured the atmosphere with those sensational photos. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Gio67. : )

We'd be only too happy to see you back in Istanbul. I'm sure you'll find something 'added' and something 'changed' after all that time.

That's a fine snowy scene, Dusty. Snow this fresh, always looks like a silken, smooth blanket.

Send your doves over here and they will continue sharing the leftovers with the seagulls and the rest of the pigeons of Istanbul to free your trees of their loads. : ))

Very encouraging words. I'll try to compile my photos of Istanbul to make a good album for sure. Things change overnight here sometimes and recording them is almost obligatory...but fun! I really enjoyed my time on the Galata Bridge while those men were enjoying a prosperous fishing day (only one woman on the bridge and that was someone's girlfriend standing by and watching how he was doing at fishing).

It started cloudy today, cleared as the day went on, getting hazy again in the late afternoon. Still cold. There was an amazing sunset which I only just caught from the upstairs window of our house.
