Wow those look like they could even be bee's Yildiz.
I wasn't sure what sort of weather condition 'misearable' translated to! :D Had me wondering...

Love the ducks then! This one indeed clarifies the bird species.

If the flying creatures in my were bees, we'd be in real big trouble in Istanbul, David. :) We'd probably be running for cover and calling it the return of the 'avenging bees' for destroying their natural environments.

I'm glad they are just cheerful, very small birds like starlings and sparrows. We had different species doing acrobatics that preferred to stay apart.

Third shots from both batches are superb. :D

Thank you, Dr. harout. :)

Hi Mark,

Sony DT 55-200 SAM kit lens performs nicely here, to my surprise in fact. That's a real nice moon shot. It must be really clear in your area as well as being away from polluting city lights.

Hi CharlieWebster,

Beautiful snowy hills.:) Must be right after some fresh snow hit these hills. It looks so undisturbed yet...

Hi Yildiz,

Well, to be honest, it suprised me too. Although the lens is great for the money, it's not very fast or sharp at the tele end. The shot came out quite nice. The image is a 100% crop, no resizing whatsoever. A sturdy tripod and the MLU on my a580 helped a lot for this shot.

I would like to try a better telelens, like the 70-400 G for example, but can't justify the buy because for 95%, I shoot pretty wide (<30mm).

Thanks for the nice comment :-)

@CharlieWebster: very nice shot. It almost seems as if I'm looking at a miniture shot like made with a tilt and shift lens. The trees and mountains look so small with the grayish background from the clouds. Very good capture!

Hi Mark, : )

I have to agree with you; I can't justify getting that 'bright magic' of a lens, the 70-400 G for the limited-time use I can spare it, myself. If we indeed had a some neat wild life specimens close to the urban districts, I might be changing my mind.

Hi Charlie, : )

Yet an other lovely shot! You have a grest view of the hills there...

Nice...
I'll probably cut off the top of the trees and the chalet.

Hi bakubo

Very envious of the weather, and love number 3 above.

They are all good actually, I like the probably momentary expression/glance captured in the first as well, that was good shooting by H.

Great pics everyone.

Grey, misty and damp here.

Like the t+s effect on the wave Henry.

Looks like your fishermen are frozen already DA :D

Hi,

Anyone from New Zealand in our forum?
I hope they are safe and sound. The photos as shown on news headlines don't look encouraging but I hope the number of people that are injured and dead can be kept to a minimum.

Best of wishes.

Yildiz

ps.
* Henry, your set of photos are very dynamic and I love the breaking wave in the last.
* Greg, thank you for your kind words. : )
* David, dedication such as this should be rewarded. What a humourful shot! They do look rather far away from their native lands though. :)
And I keep wowwndering if that heron actually bumped into the hull of that boat? : )
Neat shots..
*Lonnie, that's striking and somewhat dramatic...An interesting instance in time.

Another ice/snowstorm hit the Mid-Atlantic U.S. last night. I though about bringing out the camera. However, who really needs to see another picture of that mess. Come on spring!
