Ahhh- finally the perfect photo thread for me!

Yeah, I figured we all had photos that we might share, but they just haven't fit into any photo thread themes yet.

I had spotted a water tower half covered in fog and I thought it was just so cool. As I was shooting I heard some kids from the high school cross country team run by. I turned around and I saw this. I hastily took the shot, and soon he was gone. Not great technique wise, but a cool moment anyway.

Here is some (very) old graffiti from the ruins of Kenilworth Castle.

That old graffiti is cool! When I was in Egypt I saw lots of old graffiti, mostly from Europeans, that was carved into stones at places like Abu Simbel and the Temple of Isis at Philae. Most of it was from the 19th century. I also saw some really old stuff carved that I thought was by Romans about 2000 years ago on the Colossi of Memnon at Luxor.

Here is a dragonfly on a leaf. I took this in Laos in 1998 using a Minolta 707si. I don't remember what lens I was using, but maybe the Minolta 50mm f1.7.

Thanks Greg . I'll try and look out some more from the area. It is a part of Lisbon that had a massive investment and regeneration as part of a World Fair in 1998. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expo_%2798 There are some really amazing buildings there. I was lucky enough to spend 3 weeks in 2009 working there. I can highly recommend the cakes as well - yummy!

It was fall and I was at Kamikochi in Nagano Prefecture with my girlfriend for a few days staying at a lodge. It is a gorgeous area with hiking trails, mountains, and famous autumn colors. I sure would like to go back there again someday! Lately I haven't been around much cold weather, but in 2009 we were at Grand Tetons National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for several days in April and it was cold with snow.
