The weather has remained sunny and warm here. It has also been quite hazy making for some great evening light. Here are some further pictures of our Clematis from yesterday evening.

I had another early start today in my continuing effort to capture Bluebells. I hope you can bare some more of my current obsession. A different wood this time, with some different types of undergrowth.

Very good one of the Clematis Birma. the colour is spot on. np with the all the Blue Bells, especially like the Tiddesley Wood photos, great work.

That Clematis is a very pretty flower Birma, nice presentation/composure in those photos as well. It must be quite a pleasant experience going for a walk with all those Bluebells and sundry wildflowers in bloom, I like those shots with the little yellow and the white flowers mixed in with the Bluebells, very nice for a naturally occuring display.
There is a new one in the garden here, I don't know what it is yet, I'll see if I can find out. And the shrub with the small blue flower currently has a lot of blossom on it.

Daffodils & Tulip

A nice bright red there Gio67 .

Here are some from yesterday - still Bluebell obsessed I'm afraid. I was out scouting for locations in a new wood (for me) and had to take some pictures, even though the light was very bright and perhaps not ideal.

Nice closeups DA, I agree that Tulip shot is really good.
That's a pretty red flower gio67, it is an amazing place for flowers in the spring.
Have all the, what was it.. snowdrops? gone now Birma, to be replaced by those pretty little bluebells.

Hi Greg - yes, the Snowdrops are long gone. It is all very transient early in the year - one thing comes along, flowers for a week or so, and then that is it. I think things like Snowdrops and Bluebells try to get their season in before the sun light at ground level is lost to the tree canopy. Most of the fruit tree blossom is over here now as well, but there are lots and lots of other things blooming. There is definitely a "bustle in the hedgerow" at the moment .

Love the variety of blossoming plants and good to see them in health after the cyclone.

I can't quite name the first aubergine-coloured small flowers but the second is a Blue Jasmine. : )
