A different kind of natural life is taking over after the beautiful snowy summit shots. Naturally there's a cycle there too and more opportunities of sports as the hills turn green. The motor bike and the rider is testimony to that. That rider is very lucky. : )

Here are a couple from my last trip to Patagonia (El Chalten, Santa Cruz, Argentina). Have been camping and hiking for about 10 days on the mountains so I had to go as light as possible, that's why couldn't take my Alpha's. This pics were taken with my Sigma DP2. Very slow AF but overall nice little camera. Anyway even without most of my photographic equipment the backpack was nearly 30kg!
Weather was very, very "Patagonian" Rain almost every day, some snow (even when it was early autumn) and really strong winds, specially at night when one tries to get some rest.

Love the subtle colours of the herbal growth in the foreground against the warm green of the bursting spring on the hills in the background.

These rolling hills have a very different kind of vegetation than we are accustommed to; there's a uniformal growth in height and plant type.
