From my newly acquired RARE SAL35F18..

It is RARE here in Malaysia.. At one of the ALpha Pro Shop, my name is ranked 39th out of 85 in the waiting list....

My youngest.. very dificult to capture him.. until " if you dont stay put, you never gonna get your milk in the bottle again..ever.. " then, this shots came..

Errr.. me know nuts about potraiture..

Wonderful clarity in those shahrulz, the SAM35 f1.8 is really a good lens, amazing for the price. I think the SAM85 f2.8 might make a good portrait lens also but I haven't seen any good shots like yours from it to judge.

I think these are the best ways of capturing a child, be it a boy or a girl, just the way he or she feels to be while in the moment. : )

I have to agree, the lens impresses me also. I have a lens of the similar optical qualities on my mind myself. I'm sure they can provide more than good portraitures.

Your son and I share something on daily basis, when I am moving around as fast as he is while in the garden or on the beach or sometimes in the house: the blue slippers! but a bigger size, of course. They are none-slippery while on the spiky-edged rocks and prevent heat penetration from hot top sand on the beach. (The sand can be really hot during the day here, on the coasts of Turkey, except for the rainy moments.)

The 35mm f1.8 is a cracking lens and these shots help show why - lovely and sharp where you want it to be sharp, pleasantly blurred bokeh in the background. I like your angles for the shots too - makes for a much more interesting viewpoint. Well done.
