I agree Greg , I have no problem buying from over sea's, way back in the late 90's I brought a minolta 50/1.7 from B&H US$32, Oz local price was around $320 should have brought 2 I guess the bottom line, is I Think, Sony/Sony DSLR division/Sony sales etc, seem to make basic sales/marketing errors that you don't see from other Sony divisions or Can/nik.
