I like these kind of images. Although the image appears busy with all the trees and bushes, you can almost feel the tranquillity of the forest at the end of the day or beginning of a new one. Also, with a setting sun, you get this eerie feeling because you know the disappearing sun will lead to an empty forest in the dark. The vignetting and broken trees both help. Your image give both feelings for me! Bravo!

I guess first light sort of goes with First Blood maybe...that ground looks sort of boggy and squashy and snaggy and wet and cold as well...good grief what were you thinking? I have too admire the fortitude and by extension the photo as well.

I like the look of the place, but perhaps I just like woods . Could be that I saw it as a Sunrise and so a more optimistic tone.
