That's winner find, Birma.

It's almost like the hinge was cast in layers of different kind of iron amalgamations colourwise. I like the laminated look from this close.

I'm sure there are many other aged patrts and pieces to make a good collection of deteriorated material.

Thanks Yildiz :) . I was looking for flower shots when I noticed this great view of the garden gate. I will certainly look for some more examples.

Here are couple taken with HVL58 in HSS mode. Shutter at 1/640, f/11 on A900 using Vivitar 90mm f/2 lens with MF/MA adapters. The first one is adapter with glass and the second one is glassless adapter.

Hahaha! :lol:

That made me laugh out loud Dennis! Thanks for that! Did it really crash land while you were shooting, or was it an old accident?

Great idea :)

Hehe well it´s partly rigged more of an accident :D, my daughter was screaming in her room that it was BIG scary flying monster so i went to have a look and there was the mosquito sitting on her clothes on the cheer, so i gave it a whack and took it with me and just dropped it on the table next to my camera so i took a few shoots and i think the result was realy funny.
it´s actullay still alive in that pic and i flew away later :lol:

Dennis,
You had a mosquito that did not bite but almost bit the dust. :lol: Nice shot. For once it is nice to have an insect play "dead". :wink:

As a dad, one of your most important jobs is to get rid of all the big scary monsters that threaten your daughter. Looks like you were here knight in shining armor once again :lol: :)

Never would've guessed the mosquito actually flew away fine after this encounter with you, it's nemesis :mrgreen:

Dennis;

:D
Seeing the housefly shot, I hope you won't mind me commenting as "you give the term Butt-head a new meaning for me in the field of photography".
If I remember right it was a character in an MTV show.

The devestated mosquito shot very rich in details. I never got so much detail from one attempt that I got around to shooting a fallen mosquito. Either your buddy is rather big or you know just how to get them in the right amount of focus field..: )

Interesting and amusing as ever.
