Re: Fishing for fish
Great stuff everyone! Here is an entry from Town Lake in McKinney. In the 9 years we've lived in McKinney I've seen dozens of people fishing here.. I have yet to see a fish on the line.... At least there are birds to photograph there.. John

John, yes a lot of these urban fishing spots don't result in catching much fish. It is just for the enjoyment of being out there, I think.

Yesterday I was browsing through some old photos and I found this close-up of some old glass fishing floats in Japan.bakubo wrote:Here are some fishing boats in Japan in 1988.
Notice the glass floats hanging from the boats. I don't think they are used anymore though. I haven't seen them for years.

Nice details Henry - these kind of floats are much favoured by the interior decoractors in Cornish pubs . Amazing to think they were ever used for real.

Re: Fishing for fish
Hmm, maybe that is why I don't see them on the fishing boats in Japan anymore -- they have all been stolen by Cornish pub owners.Birma wrote:Nice details Henry - these kind of floats are much favoured by the interior decoractors in Cornish pubs . Amazing to think they were ever used for real.
