The carefully rectilinear shapes and silhouettes make these very neat, Mark. Although, I am a lover of monochrone myself, I think the subjects also make things more tasteful.
I like all but I like the second shot of the street where everything and everyone, including the cyclist are all neatly vertical and almost parralel in lining. Also the fact that there are no contemporary vehicles parked along the street but a simple form of life make it look even more vintage-looking.
The violin maker's shop's great...also vertical.
The Holy Road and Town Hall..also vertical.
Such neat angling catches one's eyes and leads them into where you see us fit.
