Your shots are never passe, sury. Every shot people take have value for themselves and if they choose to share them, for others. How can that be passe?

Back to your BIF. The contrast in the plumage is remarkable. Together with the sharpness of the subject and the out of focus background make the bird really pop out. The people are a nice touch. They do destract a bit however.

Nice one Sury - as Yildiz says, the shot from above is unsual, and I like the people in the background as it provides the often human context to how and where seagulls now live.

Went out on a beuatiful day today. Lots of birds out and about, but I lacked the skill/drive to capture some good ones.

Only one worth posting is this Chaffinch female enjoying the early morning sun:



Shot with a580 and 70-300G handheld. f/6.3, 1/1250 sec., ISO-400, 0 EV.

I would not know enough about the bird. I think the surroundings being in sharp focus is distracting
me away from the bird. May be a crop or background blur might make the Chaffinch the center of
attention.
