Nighttime helicopters

Unread post by mikeriach »

Along with some friends I arranged an evening visit to our local heliport to shoot the helicopters.
We had a terrific time thanks to the Bristow Base Staff.
Hope you like these.

I agree, nice set.
I noticed the size progression.
Interesting variety in models as well.
I wonder is that usual?

They are great shots!
Thanks,

Ron

That's pretty cool. The last one is probably my favorite. But I also like the reflections off of the props in the second one.

At Aberdeen we have 5 models currently. The AW139 is the smallest then 2 versions of the AS332, EC225 and S92.
The fatal crashes in the last couple of years and the grounding of the EC225s for a year forced the acquisition of alternative models. I guess once all the EC225s are back in service the older AS models will be redeployed leaving a mix of EC225 and S92.
