Re: Flowers 2014
On Saturday there was a brief break in what seems an endless supply of weather fronts from the Atlantic bringing heavy wind and rain to the UK. I went back to check on the Snowdrops. They have opened up a little but perhaps still not quite in full bloom. There were all very wet from the weeks rain. I managed to find a few new 'drifts' that I had not come across before and had lots of 'fun' slipping and sliding around the muddy wood to get the tripod and me in to the right place, without trampling the flowers.

Birma- I'm jealous! You get rain and flowers, all we get are cold and snow! Not really fair as my latitude is 38degrees north, and yours must be 50+!

Re: Flowers 2014
You're right Dusty
. I would love some snow to go with the snowdrops. I'm heading north at the end of the week so I may get a few flakes at the top of the British Isles.
I hope you and the chucks are keeping warm.

Sury, what are those lines at the bottom? Are they related to your watermark?

Thank you Andy. Doc, let me check the original. I can't see any lines on my monitor at work.

Doc,
I see them now, right next to my name (watermark). Hmm. Let me check the original at home.

Re: Flowers 2014
Good catch Doc. I see them entire width of the frame. They are clean in the originals. I am wondering if Zerene Stacker did something goofy or my post processing in LR introduced them. I will start afresh and see where that is happening.

Doc,
I have no idea why it happened by about half of the stack had those lines. I went through each of them and stacked only the non-streaking ones.

Just to show it is not all rugged mountains and streams, here are some snowdrops from the grounds of Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye. The home of the Macleod. It was an unusual 'open' day before the season gets going and you have to pay an arm and a leg for a look around the Chief's garden - although those place are always in need of repair and so I expect he needs every penny
