From a recent trip to Mendocino Coast (Northern California). The coast is rugged,
the seas rough but the beauty is as good as it gets. Sunset from Poma Bluff Park.
There was a sheer drop of 30 meters or so from where my wife was standing.

Thanks Greg :)

Love the sunset colours Sury. Looks a great place to watch the sun go down.

I like the yellowish one Sury, unusual looking but it works well.

Nice sunset pictures Sury and Darin. It's interesting the how the difference in perspective and focus creates a different feeling. About the only thing similar is sunset on the coast. Well done you two.

Birma, nice shot of the subsiding "flood."

Thank you Greg and the_hefay. Greg, I am afraid, I might have warmed it a tad too much.

These shots were exposure bracketed (5 shots) and I have used Luminence HDR to merge them and then
tweaked in LR3. I did not have a Graduated ND filter (77mm) with me at that time (a deficit being
corrected as we speak :) ) and tried the next best thing I had at my disposal. I also tried the
HDR bracketing and they have not been uploaded yet.

Nice sky over the sea Sury. The waves add a complexity to multiple exposure techniques, although they can remove the need for ND grads. The ND grad feature in Lightroom is also pretty good.

Andy, thank you. This is taken on the next day morning. I used HDR bracketing on A900
and used Luminance HDR to merge the three images. Though not at the same location
this was couple of miles south of the previous shot. That was taken as sun was setting
and this was taken around 10ish AM looking westward. After a bit of experimentation, I found
one particular combination on Luminance HDR work the best in terms of capturing the colors as
I remember seeing them. The best part about that software is it is free.

The balance between land, sea and sky is fine in that one Sury :) . Great colour as well.

No sea in my shot from yesterday morning on the beautiful Isle of Skye. A beautiful day. Complete contrast to the rain, rain and more rain today.

The great winter colours are accentuated by e low morning sun. A short stroll with the camera bag and tripod before breakfast.b what could be better? (Although it was a bit nippy on the fingers first thing with ice still on the puddles.)

Great colors there Andy. They look more "Fall/Autumn" colors like I am used in this part of the world.

Tuesday was an overcast, flat light day with a lot of smog. I was wrapping up some work and wandered out to a sunset view point. Not a lot was happening but suddenly the light transformed for an incredible fifteen minutes.

Hi Darinm;

These photos are just amazing, 'heavenly' is the word if the word has any power of coming close to my sentiments....

So above every other earthly little thing is the scene's majesticity.

You were lucky to be there in that moment and I feel peacefully astounded by its beauty.

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz
