Andy,
A couple of crackers there. The A99 still does the business.

All my Sony SLT gear gone. Still got my RX100 though.

Great shot of Aurora Borealis Valery. One of these days I want to be where
I can shoot them....

Andy, very nicely planned shot. Love it.

Great shot of the northern lights Valery.

Excellent scenes Birma.

Sury, love the castle.

This is not the best lighting for this type of scene. I need to go back either on an overcast day or closer to dusk or dawn. But it's a neat place and I thought I'd share anyways.

I agree H some nice ones and some interesting ones too since I last checked. The castle Sury found was interesting (has its own thread as well), I never knew it existed before.
Brilliant yellow fields of flowers, I like the last one showing the geology of the badlands area too.

That was as good one with the white horses and the interesting geological strata in the background headland Birma.
Also the Oak tree meadow is special along with the bluebells, but I also think the top award is for the amazing effort in getting to those places before dawn to get ready for the shots.
Greg

Ps you do know it’s dangerous to mention the ‘horse’ word to young girl if you live in a semi-rural area…?

Thanks you Mike, Sury, The Hefay, Hnery and Greg :)

Greg, you're right about the H word. I'll try to keep quiet about that ;) . Early mornings are bad when the alarm goes off, but worth it when you get out there and the sun comes up.

Mike, I'm still very happy with the A99. No GAS for camera bodies at the moment. :)

That is an interesting place, The Hefay. I agree that some nice early lot late light low across the scene would be great. Some times you just have to go with what you've got though :)

the_hefay, if you use two graduated filters overlaid in LR, you can get quite a bit of texture in the bottom
half of the image. I did try it on your image and it worked.

Another sunny morning for today's public holiday and so another wood visit. Bluebells again. They are going to be over soon, so it was a matter of get 'em while they're here. It was a challenge dragging myself out of bed and I was a bit rushed as the sun was just up as I arrived at the planned spot.

I visited the gardens at Exbury house in the New Forest in Hampshire at the weekend to see the magnificent rhododendrons and azaleas that are now in bloom. Here are some of the images taken on the day.

Fantastic set Keith. I love the third one with that little girl and the middle one and the first one in that order.

Looking eastwards at the city of Santa Cruz, California. Pacific Ocean is behind me. With QX10.

Cracking shots, Keith. Will have to remember that place if I'm ever down in Hampshire :)

Interesting sky, Sury, but I'm not sure about the palm tree? A bit central and cut off at the top perhaps. Just a thought :)
