Re: Let's post some panoramas
Thanks Sury... It isn't your monitor. It was a hazy/rainy day in the mountains that day..

Thank you John for the confirmation.
At least it is something that some PP could fix, if you so desire.
I am not suggesting PPing, I hasten to add, just making a statement.

Re: Let's post some panoramas
I thought about it, but I like the somewhat mysterious aspect it adds... The day was misty/rainy, and I wish, for that shot, that the distance was a bit more foggy/mysterious..

Golden Gate Bridge during recent Avon walk with missus.
The concrete block you see at 11o clock from boats is the anchor foundation
that holds the towers which hold the bridge....

Thousand Island Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness area, California. Would have loved to have some clouds.

Nice one Darin. Looks like a very apt name for the area.

Re: Let's post some panoramas
Sury, I'm not sure what the weather in San Francisco is like normally, but that picture perfectly portrays what I saw the couple of times I've been there. Now if there was only a flag or windsock to verify that a mild gale is present... but wait, the water almost looks calm. There's even a reflection of the bridge.
Darin, nice shot. What's the elevation of the lake? 9 or 10 thousand feet maybe?

Re: Let's post some panoramas
Great pano Sury! I've been to San Francisco many times, but I have never made it down to that spot. I've seen it, and said, 'I've gotta go down there next time', but I always seem to forget. That view has reinforced the fact that I need to go again.
Beautiful view Darin! Clouds would have been nice, but the clear sky balances with the lake... IMHO..

Thank you Andy. The reflections were amazing. The blue was sky and the green was the forest/trees on the shore.
Since water was pristine you could those reflections very well. Amazing place, Alaska.
